Tokyo 1958

The Torch Relay, now a well-established aspect in the build-up toboth the Olympicand Commonwealth Games, was introduced as a new tradition of the Asian Games for Tokyo 1958.

The Relay commenced at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, the main venue for the previous Games in Manila.
